Ysgol Babanod Mochdre and Ysgol Cystennin are Community Schools situated in the heart of Mochdre village. Pupils have a strong start at Ysgol Babanod Mochdre, with the principles of 'learning through play' allowing the children to experience exciting and stimulating opportunities. As they move through the school and into Ysgol Cystennin, we maintain a broad and balanced curriculum and build on their experiences through delivering a topic-based approach. Both schools are English medium schools, and the Welsh language and culture is promoted throughout our curriculum.

The school is preparing for the new curriculum in Wales. The Four Purposes of the new curriculum will guide how we deliver education in Ysgolion Mochdre. By the end of their education, we hope our pupils will be -
